| Snapaligner ™ is a simple one step (one hand) installation
process, and is designed to properly position a reinforcing steel cage in
a drilled shaft with a 3" concrete cover requirement. Without proper
alignment, the rebar cage cannot perform the function for which it was designed.Faulty
alignment can cause foundation failure, which often leads to issues of contingent
liability. Because the rebar cage cannot be inspected or tested after the
concrete is placed in the drilled shaft, the cage must be aligned properly
the first time. Snapaligners™ are made of ultra strong, corrosion resistant polypropylene and fit numbers 3 through 4 rebar ties. They are yellow in color to enable the inspector to easily see that the spacers have been installed. |
